3 ⭐️ RB 5’11 188 Tulsa, OK (Edison)
Offers: Hogs, Nebraska, Iowa State, OU, Mississippi State
Coach Chad Morris’ first true recruiting class is almost complete, and his staff has continued to hit the ground running moving forward to 2020. The Hogs currently have one Running Back commited for the ’19 class, A’Montae Spivey, but it is not a done deal he will end up signing as the Ole Miss Rebels seem to be attempting to snag him. Arkansas looks to be set in the backfield for this upcoming season, but will need to bring in at minimum two running backs for 2020 if Spivey does not sign.
He has already been named as a Hog Pen player to watch, but Arkansas is in good standing with Tulsa (Edison) RB Sevion Morrison. He took a visit on November 10th for the LSU game and has continued to keep in contact with the coaching staff. As of now it appears Arkansas, Iowa State, and Nebraska have the early advantage to land his services. Morrison, who possesses 4.5 speed, ran 232 times for 2,278 yards averaging an eye-popping 9.8 yards per carry along with 39 total touchdowns.
Morrison is listed as the No.35 Running Back in the 2020 class according to 247 sports and tabbed him as the 375th player overall. It is a given that after his monster junior season he will continue to gain more offers so it is good the Hogs are on him early. He is expected to come back to The Hill for a visit in January with fellow 2020 prospects Javian Hester (JJ) and Myles Slusher.
